VCO Humane Anatomy Bank (the project is being designed) got an ethically sourced cadaver of a donkey from the surgical ward of university hospital of University of veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. VCO has got its skeleton for the veterinary students which will act as alternative for the students of equine osteology.
Dr. Hammad Bin Rasheed from the surgical ward informed the Vets Care officials about the availability of cadaver of a donkey. Mr. Tanveer Ahmad (Incharge, VCO Humane Anatomy Bank) along with his team got the cadaver from the surgical ward. This cadaver was brought to the postmortem section where the skin & viscera was removed and the bones were cleaned by dipping them in Nitric Acid. We are thankful to Dr. Hammad Bin Rasheed for informing VCO about the cadaver and helping the Incharge VCO Humane Anatomy Bank in getting permission for using postmortem room of the pathology section.
VCO is looking for the sponsors and donors for the building where all these procedures should be done.
