| Vets Care Organization has established VCO Medicine Bank |
|
Vets Care Organization Pakistan has established a bank of medicine named "VCO MEDICINE BANK" from which the medicines will be administered to the animals of those owners who can not afford the expenses of the medicine.
Mr. Asad will be the incharge of the medicine bank.This step has been taken after the ill-response of the owners of the different animals who do not take notice for the treatment of their sick animals due to poverty. In the very start, some medicines were given to Dr. Hammad Bin Rasheed (Executive Member VCO) for Indoor Hospital, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan and also to Dr. M. Owais (Executive Member of VCO) for the out door hospital, who will administer these medicines after taking complete bio-data of the animal and the owner.
These medicines will be recieved from the different Veterinary Pharmaceuticals in terms of donations and also will be purchased from the budget specified for VCO Medicine Bank. |

A letter No. SPCA/pb/2kv-810 recieved from the veterinary officer Dr. Noor Ul zaman Rafique in which the donations of the antibiotics and anti-pyratic medicines for the treatment of the ownerless/poor owners animals was requested. President Vets Care Organization, Dr. Mohsin Ali Bhatti sanctioned the medicines about cost of 5,000 Rs.

On the recomendation of President Dr. Mohsin Ali Bhatti, Mr. Waseem Shaukat represented Vets Care Organization in the 3rd Meeting of Zonal Executive Committee of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) to discuss about "BIRD FLU" a burning issue. After the meeting the representative said that Vets Care Organization will arrange a seminar on this issue with the coordination of PPA. It will be a great event in which stake holders of the industry, Renowned Veterinarians, health professionels, poultry farmers, representatives of the local Government, Professionals from the print & electronic media will be invited to participate in which the preventive measures from the disease and the humane killing of the infected birds (if reported) will be discussed.

Vets Care Organization Pakistan is going to arrnage a demonstration of anatomy alternative "CAT WORK" in the first week of March in the seminar room of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan for the students of 1st year DVM class.
Three speakers for this demonstration will be
1- Mr. Tanveer Ahmad (Incharge VCO Humane Anatomy Bank)
2- Dr. Fareeha Akhtar (President, VCC, UVAS, Lahore)
