FREE VETERINARY TREATMENT CAMP | |||||||||||
Vets Care Organization Pakistan arranged free veterinary treatment camp on the eve of Eid Ul Adha at Bakkar Mandi Lahore from 27-29th of December 2006. The objective of the camp was to provide free clinical approach & medicine to the animals which are brought for selling purpose in Bakkar Mandi from far away areas of the province. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Manzoor Ahmad (Vice Chancellor, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Lahore Pakistan). The inaugural session was also chaired by Prof. Dr. H. A. Hashmi (Patron, Vets Care Club UVAS Lahore) and Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary (Director, Insitute of Continuing Education & Extension, UVAS Lahore). Worthy guests were briefed about the objective of the camp by the organizers. They also visited the stall maintained any the camp. Prof. Dr. Manzoor Ahmad appreciated the team work and congratulated the organizers for successful organization of this camp to provide the clinical approach to the animals free of cost. Prof. Dr. H. A. Hashmi urged the students to treat maximum animals during the 3 day treatment camp. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary said that it is an excellent & well maintained camp arranged by Vets Care Organization. After the inauguration of the camp, 5 mobile veterinary teams were established which went away from the camp in the main BAKKAR MANDI in different ditrections and provided free clinical approach and medicine to the animals upto 6:00 PM. The camp continued all the three days with its full rhythm and according to the official record 283 animals were freely provided clinical approach including 177 goats and 106 sheep. More than 40 Veterinary Doctors & veterinary students actively attended the camp and provided their services for this animal welfare project headed by Vets Care Organization Pakistan. VCO is thankful to all the participant members of the Vets Care Organization Pakistan & Vets Care Club, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. Camp coordinator, Mr. Waqas Tahir (President, Vets Care Club UVAS Lahore) thanked all the teams who worked day and night for the successful organization of this free veterinary treatment camp. All the committee & department of the VCO & VCC, UVAS actively provided their skills for the arrangements, said Mr. Waqas Tahir. He especially thanked Incharge Medicine Bank, Mr. Muhammad Asad Ali and their team including Mr. Shahid Mahmood Yawir, Mr. Samueal Shahzad and Mr. Rana Amjad Akamal for their excellent & unforgettable work in the camp. Wax Pharmaceuticals Lahore, Zaidi’s International, Symans Pharmaceuticals, Pakistan Medicose, Eterna International, Trust Pharmaceuticals, Medi-vet pharmaceuticals and H.
