This meeting was conducted at the production unit of "SYMANS PHARMACEUTICALS" in Lahore Pakistan. The chief Guest of the event was Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider (Patron in Chief of VCO). The guest of honour was Prof. Dr. H.A.Hashmi (Patron of Vets Care Club, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan). The executive body & senior members of the Vets Care Organization & Vets Care Club University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan attended the meeting. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the current role of veterinary profession in the society of Pakistan & to celebrate the World Veterinary Day by celebrating the diversity of the veterinary profession.
Meeting was started in the evening. Miss Erum Ayesha Salam was the anchor person. Mr. Asad Ali (Incharge VCO Medicine Bank) recited form the Holy Quran. Mr. Waqas Tahir (President of Vets Care Club, UVAS) welcomed to all the participants in the meeting. Dr. Rana Shaukat Hussain (Secretary General of Vets Care Organization Pakistan) discussed the role of VCO in uplifting the veterinary profession in past in Pakistan. He also discussed the future plannings of the VCO regarding the uplift of veterinary profession & welafer of animals. Mr. Hassan Bin Haider (VCO goodwill messenger) discussed the role of VCO in the betterment of the veterinary industory of Pakistan. Dr. Tanveer Hussain (Executive Member of VCC, UVAS) paid great thanks to VCO for providing the maximum chance of learning the practical skills to the young veterinary students. Dr. Sabira Nazir (Executive Menber of VCO & Veterinary Officer in Lahore Zoo, Lahore Pakistan) said that "The day is not far away at which veterinarian will be highly respectable person in Pakistani society. All what we need is to make a noise in the genral public about the veterinary profession". Prof. Dr. H.A. Hashmi (Patron VCC, UVAS) appreciated the work of young team of VCO. He said that,"VCO aims a bright future for the veterinarians & a respectable status for the veterinarians in the society". Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider (Patron in Chief of VCO) discussed the "Role of veterinary profession in Pakistani society". Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider described the details of the status of veterinarian in Pakistani society in past & current status of the veterinarian in the society. In his message to the young veterinary students, he said that young generation should not feel asame on this profession but they must be proud to join this prostegious & vast profession. He discussed different aspects & scope of the veterinary profession in present & in future all over the world. He said that, now the world has been totally depending upon the livestock sector & you veterinarians are the key persons who have to play a significant role in this sector. The unforgetable work of Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider in the uplift of veterinary profession in Pakistan was highly appreciated by the participants. Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider had done a huge work for the betterment of veterinary profession in Pakistan in past. Mr. Abdur Rehman (General Secretary VCC,UVAS) prsented the Vote of Thanks. In his message to the newly selected executive body of Vets Care Club, university of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, he asked them to use all their hidden abilities for the promotion of the work of VCO & ultimately for the betterment of veterinary profession in Pakistan. At the end, the participants were served with the dinner.
