Mission statement:
We exist to provide a credible, Christian Witness to the teens and young adults of the King of Prussia Mall area.  We seek to love the unloved, bring healing to the hurting, give hope and  meaning to those who feel they have none, and to set free those who are in bondage.

Thor's thoughts:

Many people, including too much of the Church, are ready to write off today's youth as beyond help, as though they are unworthy of the gift of salvation that Christ offers to all.  They'll condemn them for their tastes in fashion, music, and entertainment, without trying to figure out why those kids are they way they are.  Often, the "mall rats" are the way they are because of this condemnation and rejection.  They feel unloved and unwanted, without meaning or hope.  Well, I love them, and care for them.  So does this ministry.  We believe no one is beyond the reach of God's love, and He offers salvation, healing, and hope to everyone, no matter what they look like.  We try to be the window through which the "mall rats" can see Christ.  They may look like heathens today, but who knows what God has in store for them tomorrow?  Their worlds may be falling apart now, but God could turn around and use them to shake up the world of tomorrow.  They are the future.  What we offer them now will have a profound impact on what they offer the world later.  Let's offer them the best.

Is it easy?  Not by any means.  I've wept for those kids more times than I can count, and I try to be there for them in any way I can.  Getting into their world can be a heart-wrenching experience.  However, God has given those kids to us as our ministry's inheritance, and we will do our best to disciple and protect them.  We love them, and consequently, we will not abandon them.  When we reach eternity, we want to see them all there, worshipping God alongside us because they knew Him in this temporary life.

The Lord bless you and keep you.

Angel's thoughts:

This is and is not a hard ministry.  The task is simple.  We go out to the KOP mall and talk to the mall rats and other teens there, and afterwards we go to "Denny's".  We love on them, make friends with them, and influence them for Jesus.   If they see Christ and his love in us, they are more likely to listen to the message of what we say.  So our focus is more than just spreading the truth of God's Word, it is also spreading the love in God's heart.
It is hard in that this ministry is not about us.  It's about them.  If God gives you a burden for these teens, this ministry has the capacity to tear your heart out.  A lot of these kids come from middle class homes.  But their parents are not always around.  For them, the crowd they hang with is sort of an extended family.  A lot of them have been hurt by the church.  Many of them are atheists.  Some are into the occult.  All of them are hurting and searching.  To them, the mall is a place they go to hang out and identify with something.  They find acceptance among their peers.  We go to offer them acceptance, and love; our love and  God's love.  And leave acutely aware of the need they have.
When I first started doing this ministry, I did not think I was cut out for it.  I was a naive, little church person.  (No offense intended.)  I had been sheltered all my life.  I was shy.  I had no clue how to reach out to these kids.  But as God would have it, this was what I was made to do.   These kids are looking for people who can accept them as what they are, love them, and be real with them.  I think I have learned more from them than I could ever give back.  But I want to give them what I have.  I want to give them Jesus.  I know that he can give them hope, life, acceptance and a future when I am long gone.  I love these teens.  I love them enough to go out and show them I care.
I challenge you to do the same.
