The SJU Fantasy Football League was started back in 1992, mainly because Tom Higley didn't have anything to do on a Friday night. To alleviate his boredom, Higs invited a group of us to the now legendary house in Phoenixville (click here to see the old house) inhabited by Maddock, Kunzman, Curran and Juhring. In between a serious session of alcohol abuse and a scuffle with white trash at a nearby tavern, the group drafted players, and the league was born. |

League Commissioners have included the likes of Tom Higley, Dave Maddock, Tim Curran, and finally, yours truly. The league also has some distinguished alumni, including Roberto Stella, Brian Downey, Mike Shiappa, and Gene Groves. There also was a one year substitution, when Seel's buddy Guy filled admirably in for Kev, who missed the draft because he misplaced his rental car. |
