A Veteran laid to rest
Clyde Wayne Clapp was born on December 29,1939 in Burlington, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife Maritza Clapp and his children, Clyde Wayne Clapp Jr., Wanda Clapp-Coble, Robert Lee Clapp, Susan Elaine McAlexander, six grandchildren, and two great-grand daughters.
Clyde service 28 years in the military - 4 years in the Army and 24 years in the Air Force. He retired as an E-9 (CMS). Clyde was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran and was a disabled veteran.
Clyde then began his civil service career in where he worked on Howard AFB, Panama. He also worked England, the United States and other parts of the world and he retired from civil service.
Clyde was a Life Member of VFW Post 3822, Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
Clyde passed away on Monday October 9, 2006 in Hospital Nacional, Panama City, Rep de Panama.
He will be missed by all his family and friends.
Members of the VFW Posts in Panama conducted the Burial Ritual. The American flag was presented to Mrs Clapp.
