he Bible is one Book made up of 2 Covenants, or more commonly referred to as "Testaments". These two Testaments are subsequently made up of smaller individual Books. In the Old Testament there are 39. In the New Testament there are 27. Now, to a lot of people both the Old and the New seem to tell two separate stories and would appear to be unrelated in content, with a few possible exceptions. The truth is, however, the Old and the New tell the same story and it concerns you! In fact, the Bible is a Book about you. Now, here is why. God loved you so much that He went to extreme measures to make it possible that, when you die, you could go to Heaven and live forever with Him. That's the desire of His heart and the Bible is a Book to confirm this great love of His for you.
You see, from the first smaller Book of the Old Testament called the Book of Genesis, and all the way to the last Book, the Book of Malachi, there is one theme which is interwoven between the lines and that message is this: "JESUS IS COMING! . . . JESUS IS COMING! . . ." (The reason for His coming is made clear
once a person begins to read and becomes more acquainted with God's nature and His love for you.)
Then, from the first Book of the New Testament, the Book of Matthew, all the way to First Thessalonians the message becomes: "JESUS HAS BEEN HERE AND GONE!. . .. JESUS HAS BEEN HERE AND GONE! . . . . "
From the Book of Thessalonians, First Corinthians and Jude the message is: "BUT HE'S COMING BACK! . . . BUT HE'S COMING BACK! . . . "
And then, just when you think you can't stand the suspense, the Book of Revelation gives the news: "HERE HE COMES AGAIN!. . . HERE HE COMES AGAIN! . . . "

THAT church. You know which one. The one THAT everyone is talking about and laughing at. You can find THAT church in any city, large or small. Usually it's located "across the tracks", or in a vacated store front, or anywhere THAT's cheap. Never a stained glass window, bell or spire to indicate it's a real church.
It would be a much better world if everyone just minded their own business but people THAT go to THAT church are always asking THAT question, "Are you saved?" And THAT's not all. They're always talking about THAT blood and always looking at you with THAT look, as if they have known you forever.
THAT church. They're always reading THAT Bible and always telling you to have THAT "faith" as if THAT's all THAT mattered. THAT's no way to live.
And money! THAT's another thing. It's hard telling where THAT money goes THAT everyone puts
into THAT basket. THAT money could be spent on something useful, not THAT missionary in THAT far-off land or THAT children's Bible Camp or THAT dumb food pantry or THAT man THAT doesn't even have a job or THAT family who doesn't even own a car.
THAT's just the kind of Christian THAT I don't want to be. One THAT's willing to talk to THAT drunk on the street, or THAT druggie, or THAT kind of woman! THAT's how Christians get a bad name!
THAT church. People at THAT church dance like THAT David danced. They sing like THAT Paul and Silas sang. They clap THAT clap and shout THAT shout. They speak THAT language, as if they didn't know THAT all ended.
THAT church. How in the world do they get like THAT? Is it because of . . . . . THAT Jesus?
And from Heaven the answer thundered . . . . .
"THAT'S RIGHT!!"

When I was a little boy, my mother used to embroider a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering.
I told her that it looked like a mess from where I was as, from the underside, I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand.
She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "My son, you go about your playing for a while, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side."
I would wonder why she was using some dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother's voice say, "Son, come and sit on my knee."
This I did, only to be surprised and thrilled to see a beautiful flower or a sunset. I could not believe it, because from underneath it looked so messy. Then Mother would say to me, "My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a pre-drawn plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing."
Many times through the years I have looked up to my Heavenly Father and said, "Father, what are You doing?" He has answered, "I am embroidering your life."
I say, "But it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can't they all be bright?"
The Father seems to tell me, "My child, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side."

One day soon our Lord and Savior, the Messiah Jesus will return to earth and reign in the city of Jerusalem for a period of 1000 years. Events leading up to this return have been prophesied in the Bible. There are approximately 453 prophetic signs in the Old Testament pointing to the Lord's Coming. 196 of these signs were fulfilled at his First Coming 2000 years ago. That leaves a balance of 257 signs for His Second Coming and many of them have begun to be fulfilled. The first major sign being the establishment of Israel as a nation in May of 1948. Many other signs revolve around the city of Jerusalem and so it is important that the Body of Christ keep watching the events happening in Jerusalem today.
In Zechariah 12:1-3 God said Jerusalem would be a "...cup of trembling...." and a "...burdensome stone..." to the nations in the Last Days. (To the enemies of Israel you may want to pay particular attention to Zechariah 12, verse 9.)

"Even so, come Lord Jesus!" These were the last words recorded by John, a disciple of Jesus, exiled to the lonely Island of Patmos, 25 miles east of Asia Minor. "EVEN SO, COME, LORD JESUS!" has been the prayer of many a Christian in the past 2000 years and it has never been more clear that Jesus Christ is about to answer that prayer than in the past few years. Whether you are a Christian or not, you must admit that something is on the horizon in regards to a major change in world conditions.
To those who are familiar with the Bible, especially in the area of Bible Prophecy, the ensuing changes in world conditions are in agreement with, and are in the process of fulfilling, many prophecies, as noted in scripture.
These are indeed, exciting times. The earth itself seems to anticipate change. Earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes are more frequent and stronger than in the past. Even the weather around the world is different today than a few years ago.
In the Bible, the Book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 22 says,
It's like a woman in labor who groans and suffers for a "release". With the release comes, not death, but life in the birth of a newborn child. She groans and travails in pain and discomfort but it is in the hope of knowing new life will come.
And so it is with the earth. It awaits a new life, one which only can come with the appearing of the Messiah, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Even so, come Lord Jesus!
