36. Gliricidia sepium Walp Papilionaceae. Gliricidia (E) Quick growing, medium size tree. Only 2 plants in seen ISM teachers colony.
37. Gmelina arborea Roxb. (Verbenaceae) White teak (E), Gamar (H,B) Moderate growing, wood is valuable, Planted in mining areas.Oblong. Reg by seeds, saplings; 1012m height. Common in ISM campus
38. Grevillea robusta A. Cunn.(Proteaceae) Silvery oak (E, H, B) Quick growing, hardy, suitable for mining areas.(Silvery colour in the back of leaves); Oblong. Good for dust and noise attenuation. Reg: by seeds. Very common in West Bokaro Coalfield areas. Only 2 trees are planted (one is at lower ground); may be planted few more.

40. Jacaranda mimosaefolia D.Don. (Bignoniaceae) Nil Gulmohar (E, H, B), The Jacaranda. Native of Brazil. Quick growing; short lived. Introduced in some dumps but growth is not so attractive. Oblong; Open branched, fruit is flat, disc-like contains numerous papery winged seeds. Feathery leaves and blue colour flowers are added attraction. Common tree in ISM campus, All trees in ISM are old. After 20 years become ugly.
41. Leucaena leucocephala L. Legiminosae (Momosae) Subabool (B,H); Koo-babool Fast growing and ranked first in mining areas, good fodder; grow very well in dumps. Oblong. Reg: by Seeds, saplings, 7-10m height. Fodder plant; no need for further introduction.
42. Lagrestroemia flos-reginae Retz. (syn. L. speciosa Pers.) The Queen's flower or pride of India (E); Jarul (H, B). Quick growing; medium size tree, well-known ornamental tree, grown as a avenue tree. Oblong; Shades all leaves in Feb- March, totally looks leafless and dull; Fruit - Woody capsule remain through out the year. Very common in colonies of ISM.
43. Madhuca indica Gemel (= Bassia latifolia Roxb. (Sapotaceae) The Butter tree or Mohwa tree (E), Mauha, Maul (B, H). Moderate growth, Oblong/ round, Spreading crown Very good plants, only 3/4 plants are found; need introduction.

47. Melia azedarach L. (Meliaceae) The Persian lilac (E), Bakayan(H), Ghoranim (B) Quick growing, grow very well in OB dumps and subsided area. Medium tree; Oblong to round; Height: 20m; Reg - seeds, saplings; confused with Neem (margosa tree). Common in ISM campus; no need of further introduction.
48. Millingtonia hortensis (Bignoniaceae) The Indian Cork tree (E), akasneem, neem chameli, Jasmine tree Tall, straight evergreen tree, deep green foliage. Only one tree seen in registrar bungalow; must be planted few more.
49. Murraya exotica L (= M. paniculata Jack) (Rutaceae) Orange jessamine (E), Kamini (B), Shrub, 4-5 m, quick growing, evergreen; Round; Flowering seasons: June- Oct Common in Ism campus, may be inroduce few more.

53. Plumeria acutifolia Poir (= P.rubra Linn) (Apocynaceae) The temple tree (E),Gorurchampa, Gulancha (B), Golainchi(H) Small deciduous tree, Open. Flowering plant, hardy, pro: by stem cuttings Very common in ISM campus. No need of introduction.

(another var is P. longifolia, erectus) Quick growing, tall and majestic tree; branches do not spread out. In erectus var branches are spread out.Conical (Pyramidal); good shade or avenue tree; Height: 10-15m; Flowers in Feb and fruits ripens in Aug - September Very common in ISM campus. No need of introduction.
55. Pterospermum acerifolium, Willd. (Sterculiaceae) Moochkunda (B), Kanthachampa (H), Produce fragrant flower.Round, dense Medium to Big size tree. Dense canopy. Common in lower ground Very common in ISM campus. No need of introduction.
56. Pongamia pinnata, Pierrer, (= Derris indica (Lam) Bennett) (Leguminosae, Papilionaceae) Indian beech (E), Karanj (H), Karanja (B) Quick growing; grow very well in subsided area and OB dumps. Round to oblong Height 10-15m; Reg by seeds, saplings, have self regeration capacities, Flow: April to June.
57. Peltophorum inerme {=syn. P. ferrugineum Benth; P.pterocarpum (DC.). Backer} (Cesalpineae, Leguminosae) The copper Pod; The Rusty Shield-Bearer (E); Radhachura (B). Deciduous, Quick growing; Shades all the leaves in Jan-Feb looks totally leafless and dull; Road- side plantation. Oblong;easiest method is through seeds; Blooms twice in a year: March-May and Sep.- Nov Yellow flowers; Pods are 5-10 cm long, looks old copper or rusty brown colour, remain on the parent plant whole year, even when the tree is leafless.
