Louis John Antonio Pedrana was shipwrecked about 1793 on or near South Uist.
Louis was born C1753, died 29/4/1844 aged 91 and is buried in the Church yard at Kettins near Coupar Angus.
Louis at the age of 42 had a son John Pedrana in 1795 on South Uist.
Louis remarried in London and had another two children, Lewis and a daughter Frances
Lewis (Jr) came to Sydney, Australia with his wife Jean Symington in 1836 and moved to Melbourne in 1837.

Lewis Pedrana was in Melbourne 12 Sep 1837 when he was appointed Overseer to superintend the work of the convicts in constructing roads - salary 5/-d per day. Hr resigned from this position in writing on 1 Apr 1839.
He later operated the Dundee Arms Hotel and on July 25 1842 was Insolvent as a Publican. This is thought to have been a renamed Governor Bourke Hotel, which was owned by Michael Carr and his wife Kitty and located in or near Flinders Lane.
Mary Pedrana wed in May 1841 to John Roberts at 1841 at Presbyterian Melbourne & Geelong. She was Lewis Pedrana's only daughter and they had many children. For more on Pedrana see Hebrides discussion on Peteranna,
My notes on the Gladstone family - Sarah Annie Gladstone c1843 wed 1863 #724 to Frederick Pedrana, believed to be a son of Lewis.
