| Prof.LILIA GYULEVA was born on 5 January 1933 in the town of Popovo-Bulgaria. She graduated from State Academy of Music-Sofia in choral conducting and step by step began to develop her artistry. She was the first Bulgarian conductor to win a gold medal in a competition for Bulgaria at the LLangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales,UK in 1965 together with "Christina Morphova" choir. Prof.Gyuleva is one of the most famous Bulgarian choir conductors. For many years she had been professor in choir conducting in the State Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov"-Sofia and had taught a great many conductors now working as exellent experts all over the world. She had taught master classes in conducting in Bulgaria, Greece, Japan, Portugal etc. For more than 45 years prof.Gyuleva had been artistic director of the famous Bulgarian women choir "Christina Morphova" and together they had won numerous awards and prizes from the most prestigous national and international competitions in Bulgaria, UK, Germany, Italy,Spain etc. Prof.Gyuleva had given concerts in Great Britain, Greece, Japan, Germany,Israel,Russia,The Netherlands,Hungary etc . Prof.Gyuleva realized a great number of recordings with Bulgarian national radio,Radio Bremen, Dutch radio and has editions on records,CD's and TV films. |
