[DVD Info]
Two Irish brothers, Connor MacManus (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus) living in Boston, beat up 3 men from the Russian mafia after they threatened to close down a close friend's bar on St. Patrick's Day. The next day the mafia comes after them but the MacManus brother's end up killing them instead. They turn themselves in the the gay FBI agent who is running the investigation on the murders, Paul Smecker (Willam Dafoe). After they deemed it self defense they hide out in an empty jail cell till the press weens a bit. That night they both get struck by a message from God. They need to kill all the bad people in the city. Mob guys, pimps, drug lords, etc. As they begin their crusade, FBI Agent Smecker is hot on their trail trying to figure out who is killing and why.
"Why don't you make like a tree...and f-f-fuck off!" ~Bartender (with turrets).

This was a truly amazing movie. I love the way the story unfolded and how they stylized the movie. A huge plus, is that they didn’t go off in another direction (like a pointless love affair or stray from the original plot). They really caught the raw passion of these brothers and the love they had for each other. They never seem to take what they were doing too seriously and never lost their faith. The guys who play the Irish brothers were really hot too. Ahh…hot guys with accents? Awesome. William Dafoe is kinda creepy but he plays a gay FBI agent so well! I love how he makes fun of gay people even though he’s gay. The music was great but, who doesn't love opera / classical music while people get murdered? The way the story is told is also very well done...showing the crime scene and then what happened right after. I can't say enough about this movie...it was completely awesome (also...look for the Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day coming this year). Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
