Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a rich valley-girl talkin' teenager who lives in Beverley Hills. Cher and her best friend, Dionne Marie Davenport (Stacey Dash) , rule the school and are the meaning of popularity (they're friends because "they both know what it's like to have people be jealous of them"). When Cher gets bad grades she is determined to argue her way to a better grades. It doesn't work with her debate teacher she decides to set him up with her environmental teacher, so he'll be happier and not grade so hard (and it works...right...). She now wants to keep doing good things for people. Well, opportunity knocks when they get a new student Tai Fraiser (Brittany Murphy...back when she didn't look like she's on crack). The "adopt" her and make her over to be one of them. Suddenly Tai is more popular than Cher and Cher doesn't know what to do! Her whole life comes crashing down and he realizes that she has feelings for her...stepbrother?! As if!

I used to watch this movie a ton when I was a kid...but not until I watched it recently did I get the sexual and drug related undertones...but I'm finding that to be true of a lot of movies lately...my parents sure let me watch some dirty movies as a kid!

Another remake of a Shakespearean play. This time they set their sights on Emma. I haven't seen (or read) Emma so I can't tell you if it's anything like it... This is a pretty good flick that not many people can relate to (except maybe the two girls who star in MTV's "Rich Girls" ...those girls are so stupid and they think they're so profound! But I digress!) It's another "shut your brain down and enjoy" movies. It's entertaining to watch rich people with problems. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
