This movie follows the life of four people. Tracy Flick (Reese Witherspoon) who is an over achieving high school student running for class president, Tim McAlister (Matthew Broderick) a teacher who cares a lot about his job and has a "good" life, Paul Metzler (Chris Klien) a well liked jock who was injured in a snowboarding accident (and can no longer play sports) is persuaded to run against Tracy, and his sister Tammy (Jessica Campbell), a lesbian who got dumped by her lover (who then started to date her brother) and is set on revenge.

As the election goes on, Tim McAllister's life slowly gets ruined. First he cheats on his wife (who finds out from the woman), gets a bee sting in the eye, and finally decides to botch the election. Tracy starts to get out of control when she finds out she'll have a lot of competition and vows that she'll never lose no matter the cost. Tammy gets kicked out of the election after taking the blame for ripping down her brother's election posters, and Paul...he wonders what would happen if things had turned out differently... Would he have not gone to Yosemite with the guys? Would he be DEAD?!

This movie was really funny. It's a satire about high school life. I related most to Tammy whose slogan was "This election is stupid. Vote for me...or don't...I don't care." As that was how school elections were for me. I've noticed that people tend to dislike Witherspoon's character...but I liked her...she worked really hard to be at the top and that's what makes her likeable. This movie made me laugh a lot and it was thoroughly enjoyable. For that the jury gives this flick:
