The doctor in charge of Kirsty Dr. Channard (Kenneth Cranham) does not only believe her, he’s been studying what he can of the Cenobites and their world for a long time. He tells the police to send the bed on which her stepmother Julia (Clare Higgins) was killed on to to his house. Once it arrives, he takes one of his patients who believe that maggots are crawling in his skin and sits him on a bed and gives him a knife. His patient then goes on to mutilate himself till enough blood is spilled that Julia is resurrected. Will Kirsty be able to stop her stepmother? Oooh...none!

Alright…the first thing I have to say about this movie is…don’t eat while you’re watching this!!! I implore you! It's amazingly gory! I almost threw up a few times. I tried to get my pineapple down as fast as possible…but man, oh man…that was close. With that aside…I have to say, Clive Barker is my ultimate hero. This, my friends, was a horror movie sequel with STANDARDS and class (well…okay…maybe not class but, y’know what I mean). I was so impressed that this was a sequel. It had everything that was missing from the first movie and more. If anything…this should have been the first movie. I hear a lot of people think this is a bad movie…but it really isn’t…it was wonderful. You get to see a tidbit about Pinhead’s origin, you see all the cenobites in their original form (I totally didn’t think that the cenobite with the opened neck was a girl!), and the movie flows together more quickly. There were a few things that bogged the film down. First of all…although they did the best they could with what they had…the 80’s special effects do not stand the test of time. The lightning was awful, the animation (while cool and all) was very choppy and almost seemed like it was claymation (think Clash of the Titans type of effects). Tiffany (Imogen Boorman) had no method to her madness. They totally don’t explain anything about her…except that her mom thinks that her love of puzzles is consuming her life and she takes her to a mental institution (nice mom). I love, love, love Pinhead. He’s awesome! He’s my favorite horror movie killer. The costumes and makeup were amazing in this flick and KUDOS to Mr. Barker for bringing back all the original characters (except Larry…but who cares). This was an amazing flick that restored my faith in horror movies and sequels. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
