Lewis and Clark and George
[DVD Info]

After escaping jail, two convicts Lewis (Salvator Xuereb) and Clark (Dan Gunther) follow a fellow inmates instruction to dig up a gun and a map to a gold mine where gold has been hidden. Once they find it, Lewis steals a car (but not without killing a few people first) and they start their trip towards New Mexico. While driving Lewis and Clark get into an argument and Lewis tries to kill Clark at a rest stop. There a beautiful mute girl George (Rose McGowan) overhears them arguing about the gold and picks up Clark and drives off with him. Not late after the cops pick up Lewis for killing a mailman he thought was a cop but he escapes by killing the cop. He catches up with Clark and George and together they must solve the clues to find the gold. Will they ever find it? Will they double cross each other for the money?

Mute people love flowers.
People from New York think a man with a cowboy hat is a real cowboy and they must take pictures of him.

"Can you shut the dog up please? Can you please shut the dog up?? SHUT IT OFF!!!." ~Lewis.

Mmm...just technical things...

The first thing I have to ask is…when they make movies…do the actors have those black box microphones on them (think…Real World like microphones)?? If they so…I saw one of the actors wearing one! If it wasn’t…then I have no idea what it was…but it seemed out of place for sure! Second thing…if forensics and people calling the cops ever came into play…these guys would be caught fast and this movie would have only been 10 minutes long. Why is no one out on the lookout for escaped convicts? Especially when one is a murderer. Every time they shot someone…they’d throw the gun down on the ground…um…hello? Prints??? Lewis makes a sad attempt to clean off his prints off the M-16 he uses…but he uses his shirt to do it…um…hello? Hair samples??? Ah well. All in all, this was a decent story that went along well enough. Rose McGowan was very cute in the movie and acted well. I didn't understand the coment they made about them being the three monkeys (ie: Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil)...I get the Speak and See...but the hear doesn't make sense that guy would hear...Oh well...you'll have to see it. I was never bored. The ending…so predictable. When I saw the cover I knew what the “plot twist” was going to be. The ending, however, totally confused me. What the snake? Totally confusing…I didn’t understand it at all. They did have sex and classical music together…that’s always kinda cool (like murdering and classical music). Other than that…it was a pretty mediocre movie. Borderline boring. Another rainy day movie to kill time. It really wasn't bad...it just wasn't that great. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
