[DVD Info]

Mary “Mouse” Bradford’s (Mischa Barton) mother died of cancer 3 years ago. Her step-mom convinces her father that she needs to go to a boarding school. One morning she arrives at Perkins Girl College. There she is roomed up with Paulie Oster (Piper Perabo), an orphan who seems to be the life of the school, and Tori Moller (Jessica Paré) a well to do girl who hates her mother and as it turns out they’re lovers. They all become good friends. One morning Tory’s little sister Allison (Emily VanCamp) bursts into the room with her friends and sees Tori and Paulie naked in bed together. When the rumors start to spread, Tori denies everything and says Paulie is obsessed with her but she’s too nice to tell her off. Paulie starts falling apart when Tori gets a boyfriend and tells her she was never in love with her. Mary gets put in the middle of it as she watches her friend slowly lose touch with the reality while the other stops being part of their lives completely. Will Paulie be able to recover from the heartbreak?

Libraries are a bad place to say emotional secrets in.
If you can go all night...you're a total man.

"Don't ever touch a raptor." ~Paulie.

Mm...nothin' really...

This was a pretty good movie. The beginning and the end are really good but the middle lacked a lot. It drug on and it came off as cheesy. There were two full on lesbian scenes and some girlxgirl kissing throughout the film. I used to have such a tolerance for gay stuff but since I've moved I've become less desensitized. The love scenes made me blush! The love scenes came off as really forced and definitely overacted. The girls in the film seemed really too young to be in a movie like this. I was surprised that Mischa Barton was in this movie! She wasn’t a lesbian though. But still. The end is really good though. Everyone really seems to fit into their roles…but the end is unfulfilling and depressing. And…they never seem to explain the whole raptor thing. Anyway…if you’re not homophobic then this is a good movie. It’s a little cheesy at times but things flesh out in the end. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
