This is why you don't inject bug powder

Naked Lunch
[DVD Info]

Based on the book...which is based on a true story of this man's life. A man named Bill Lee (Peter Weller) is a bug exterminator. His trouble starts when his wife (who is a whore by the way) starts to inject the bug powder he uses for his exterminator jobs into her veins. She gets him to try it and they both get hooked on it (although this fact never seems to strike him). He tries to "lift" someone else's bug powder for his wife and they stop him. "I know where you could get help." So he goes to this man who gives him black powder that weans people off the bug powder. So home he goes and he injects his wife and himself. He then turns to his wife and says... "I guess it's about time for our William Tell routine" and she puts a glass on her head. Oops...he missed. Now his wife is dead. It starts to get a little weird after that. He starts seeing giant beetles that talk to him out of sphincters on their backs and aliens the drip juice out of their heads. He finds out he was a dormant agent of Interzone and he needs to write reports (on a bug typewriter that talks). There are a lot of homosexual undertones...I couldn't possibly explain this movie any more. You have to see it for yourself. Be prepared for a big trip and lots of confusion.

"The centipedes are getting down right arrogant. They're attacking the children." ~Bill.

Bill mumbles the whole movie. It's so annoying and you have to turn the tv up really loud.

This has to be the WEIRDEST movie ever. Talking bugs? Gay aliens? I can't explain it at all…it’s just too weird. It just is. I really couldn’t even hear the movie…I had the volume on the TV turned all the way up and I couldn’t understand half the movie. They explain what's going on...but only sort of. They hint at what's going on but then they contradict themselves. It's really confusing. Definitely worth a look see, just for the insane-ness. If it wasn’t so weird…it’d be boring. It was intriguing to say the least. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
