Technically it should be over...right?

Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
[DVD Info]

Kirsten Parker (character from the 3rd movie…different actress) is back at the Thompson residence. She feels like Freddy is coming back (how revenge driven *IS* this guy?)…so she calls on her ex-dream warrior companions Kincaid (Ken Sagoes) and Joey (Rodney Eastman) to help her…but when they get there…there’s nothing there. The next day the two boys confront her at school. They tell her to give it up and let sleeping dogs lie. If she keeps drudging up the past…Freddy WILL come back to life. Well…wouldn’tcha know it…with all three kids now thinking about Freddy…his bones reunite and now he’s back to extract revenge on the three who survived. The last three of the generation whose parents murdered Freddy. Well…Kincaid and Joey are the first to go and then Kristen’s mother (who still sucks) slips her a sedative sending her to her grave. Freddy kills Kristen (Tuesday Knight) but before he does, she pulls a friend of hers, Alice (Lisa Wilcox), into her dream and gives her, her power to pull people into her dreams. With Kristen’s powers and spirit now bestowed onto Alice, she becomes Freddy’s new target. Alice can’t really control her new power and pulls everyone into every dream she has resulting in their death. Will she be able to control her new powers? Or will she kill everyone she loves…

Never let Freddy Krueger spot you.
Veins, apparently, look exactly like blue and red silly string.

"Wanna suck face?" ~Freddy K.

Lisa Wilcox (Alice) was a TERRIBLE actress...

Ugh, so much...see below.

Ugh…there was so much wrong with this movie. Freddy’s jokes certainly made a turn for the worse in this flick. The story was long and boring despite the high body count (the highest out of all 3 of its predecessors). First of all…this is supposed to be a horror flick right? Well…I felt like I was watching Karate Kid with Freddy Krueger as part of the black cobras. They even say “Alice-san”!!! Ahhh! There’s an entire new cast (in which all but 2 died) and they say and do stupid things and I couldn’t find myself giving a shat about any of them. Even when Kristen died I didn’t care because it wasn’t even the same actress. You definitely can’t identify with any of the characters especially Alice who starts off as a shy kid who imagines everything she wants to do but never does it…to a complete 180 degree personality change where she’s doing karate to an 80’s synthesizer in the background? I think not. The whole “absorbing-the-personalities-of-the-people-who-died” thing didn’t go over with me. Sooooo stupid. Her brother dies…she sheds a tear and then whips out nun chucks and does a routine. Ugh…whatever. And when she tries to get her point across to people about Freddy she comes off as really bitchy rather than pleading (like the other girls). In fact…I was hoping she would die…so there would be no more movies like this made…but I have a feeling she’s in the next one (in fact…she is). I think it’s really going downhill from here. Spare yourselves with this one…it’s boring and stupid…leave it at the 3rd one…where it should have ended. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:

Death
(Like DEATH and that I needed a shower to wash the stench of that movie off me)
