Pulp Fiction
[DVD Info]

The story follows the day in the life of people who’s lives unexpectedly intertwine in four little stories. Vincent Vega (John Travolta), is a hit man who works for Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames). Vincent has to take the boss’s wife, Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman), out while he’s out of town. Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) is Vincent’s partner. They have to kill some guys who tried to screw over their boss. When they get there…they’re shot at, but every bullet misses and it causes Jules to have a revelation about divine intervention. Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) is a boxer who is paid by Marsellus Wallace to throw a fight. He purposely wins the fight but accidentally kills his opponent and is on the run. He’s ready to flee with his girlfriend but she forgot to pack the most important thing in the world to him. His fathers watch. When he goes back to retrieve it he runs into Vincent and then later Marsellus.

In France they call a quarter pounder a royale with cheese.
Beware of pawn shops with basements and gimps.
Remember to always tie up your gimp before you leave the room.
You should listen to divine intervention.

"I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat, I mean he got a weight problem. What's the nigger gonna do? He's Samoan." ~Jules.

None! I love this movie.

Pulp Fiction is my favorite of the Tarantino films. I love movies that aren’t about anything but a lot of things happen (does that make sense). The dialogue is amazing. The best characters were Jules and Marsellus. The way they played their lines perfectly…ah...it was great. There’s a lot of violence/blood and swearing (apparently “fuck” was said 271 times), there’s drug usage and, of course, the infamous rape scene. This movie really isn’t for everyone. I saw it a few times when I was younger and hated it and didn’t get why people thought it’s so great…but now…I love it. You have to be able to understand it probably. The humor and the mundane conversations were just awesome. If you haven’t seen this movie…you should at least give it a try. Even though I dislike Bruce Willis a lot…I think he did a good job in this movie. Uma Thurman looked really great in this film…black hair really suited her. Heck, everyone did really great in this film. Although, I’m not a huge fan of Tarantino himself (his pompous attitude really gets to me) I like the way he directs and he adds those little things in (like references from Reservoir Dogs and stuff said to characters in reference to other movies they’ve been in [i.e.: Mia calls Vincent "cowboy" and John Travolta was in Urban Cowboy and Vincent calls Mia "cowgirl" in return since Uma Thurman was in Even Cowgirls Get the Blues] and whatnot). Also, Christopher Walken shows up for a little bit as well (and we love him!). Anyway, it really is a good movie that makes you laugh pretty hard. It’s not in order, it kinda skips around a bit but it all comes around full circle and it’s amusing. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
