Do you wish it so?

Wishmaster 4: The Prphecy Fufilled
[DVD Info]

Lisa Burnley’s (Tara Spencer-Nairn) boyfriend, Sam (Jason Thompson), was in a motorcycle accident three years ago, leaving him crippled for life. Her lawyer, Steven Verdel (Michael Trucco), who is working on her boyfriend’s case, gives her a present one day. As he leans in for a kiss she drops the box he gave her in surprise and out falls a red stone. When she picks it up she sees a frightening image of the Djinn (as well as wake him up) and is weirded out. She gives the stone back to Steven saying she doesn’t want it and leaves. Steven puts it in his safe and goes upstairs but the stone melts through his safe and the Djinn escapes. When Steven goes upstairs he is greeted by the Djinn who asks for his wish. He wants to know what’s going on here! The Djinn explains and then kills him, taking his face. Now, to find the waker. This time, the Djinn has a new plan…using his role as Lisa’s lawyer to make her make wishes. But when the final wish is to love the Djinn for who he really is, he must somehow make her fall in love with his true form in order to free all the other Djinn and bring on Armageddon. Will she succumb to his charms?

"[I'm going] to the only place that doesn't treat me like a patient and it only costs me $1.00 a dance." ~Sam.

Ugh...SAM! I wanted to kill him every time he opened his damn mouth! It's one thing to be depressed because of his accident but he was so self loathing I wanted to smack him... Even when he walked again and got $10 million dollars... Graaah!

Wow! The only thing that was missing from this movie was Andrew Divoff (who I’ll always hold a soft spot for). You really can’t believe anything you hear (except from me ^_^ heh) about movies. I heard this movie was supposed to be worse than Wishmaster 2 but it was AWESOME (but it’ll never be the same as the first one…I love you Mr. Divoff [who really pulled the character together with his faces]!). If they had just cut out Wishmaster 2 and 3 and made this one the second one…it really would’ve been perfect. It was really good! I think people hate it because they think that the Djinn falls in love for no apparent reason…but he doesn’t fall in love with Lisa…he tries to make her fall in love with him. Is it sad I was rooting for them to hook up? I hated Sam with a passion and the Djinn seemed to care about her a lot. I also liked the fact that the Djinn was sneaky about his whole wish thing. That’s how he should’ve done it in the first place. Although the Djinn related deaths were only 3 or 4 (and not that exciting) the story was quick paced and awesome. Also, if you check out the DVD…be sure to watch “Wishmasterpiece Theater” because it makes the movie complete. One thing that does sit with me well…is how it ended…because there is no way that they’ll be another sequel to steal away the good memory of the Wishmaster. Because of this, the jury gives this flick:
