The Harmony Acoustic... used during the years as the Detours and the High Numbers (1962-1963). The Harmony Sovereign H. A twelve string guitar used on Happy Jack, A Quick One, The Who Sell Out, and other singles in 1966-67... along with other Harmony acoustics, both 6 and 12 string, used during the 1960's.
The Guild JF65, the 12-string guitar. This was used during the making of Quadrophenia, Who's Next, Who By Numbers, Face Dances, and solo shows during 1996-2000.
The Washburn acoustic. Pete used it mostly for Deep End Live in 1986. Looks alright, sounds pretty good... well, it must be a good guitar. Deep End Live was pretty awesome...
Fylde Arial model acoustic was used for solo shows during 1996-1999, and for the Lifehouse shows in 2000. Not bad. Not really nothing special... more like special nothing!
The Takamine acoustics that Pete used during Deep End Live in 1986, during The Kids Are Alright tour in 1989 and later for Psychoderelict in 1993. Personally, I don't like it, but Pete make it work, and made it work well! I like the picutre shown above... looks pretty cool.
The 1968 Gibson J-200... the guitar that created Pete's defining acoustic sound on such records as Tommy in 1969, Who's Next and Going Mobile in 1971, and Quadrophenia in 1973. The 1968 Gibson with a Sunburst finish was used for Won't Get Fooled again in 1971, Who By Numbers in 1975, Who Are You in 1978, Face Dances in 1981, Chinese Eyes in 1982, White City in 1985, Psychoderelict in 1993. The Blonde J-200 was used for various stage shoes from 1986 to 2002 and The Quad tour.
