Ah, the splenderous collection of Les Paul Gibsons. In 1974, Pete began playing guitars featuring the infamous number system which distiguished the guitar based on how it was tuned and used for various songs. The system was reduced to smaller selection of Les Paul Gibson guitars the next year. This collection of Les Paul includes numbered guitars ranging from #1 through #9 and several unnumbered ones. Although, Pete being as he is, several of those guitars were destroyed and never replaced. In 1979, Pete stopped using Deluxe Gibsons altogether saying they were "too 'eavy."

One of the first numbered Les Paul Gibsons from 1974.
The start of the selection in 1975.
Probably one of my favorite pictures with Pete and his #1 Gibson from 1974 doing what Pete does best.
The #4 Gibsons of the three-pickup series. The first from 1976 and the second in 1979.
In 1979, the #1, #3 and #9 Gibson guitars came into play.
And the #5 Gibson, also from 1979, which quite possibly may be my favorite.
