Call me bias, but this CD doesn’t hold my interest as others tend to do. Don’t get me wrong, the songs are awesome, even the ones that Pete doesn’t write. Particularly, I love “Misunderstood”, “April Fool”, “Till The Rivers All Run Dry”, and who could forget the heart-string tugging “Heart To Hang Onto”, which the pair does a wonderful job on. Brings a tear to the eye, it does. It’s not because of Ronnie Lane, nothing against the guy; he’s actually a pretty good musician. Contributed a few songs, all of them good, to this album. He’s also assisted with varying other albums. For a listener first starting out into the abyss that is the solo careers of the Who, I wouldn't recommend this album at first. It's got those admirable qualities, don't think it has nothing to offer... for that would be a lie. For this, I grant it a Creepy Crawly factor of 3. | ||||||||||
