Throughout John's career, he had been know to pick up the occasional Gibson bass... not just any Gibson bass, but the Gibson Thunderbird, the most respected of all Gibson basses. The Gibson Thunderbird made its first public appearence in the good old year of 1963. The bass has four strings, two volume controls, and one tone control. The 1963 issue went on until it was reissued in 1987 with its original reverse body. All Thunderbirds have a bird logo on its side, making it very signature. Very nice! If only I can afford one...

A cigarette and a Gibson Thunderbird... John is happy.
I know this page DOES NOT give the Gibson Thunderbird justice... I'm vexed... I'm terribly vexed... but no worries, there's still plenty of kick-ass things to check out! I have yet to finish with the kick-assery around here! Don't forget to check out Pete's Gear made by my best illigetimate friend, Saren!!! She did a kick-ass job as well!!!! Thanks!
