Too Late The Hero | ||||||||||||||||
This has got to be one of my favorite John albums! It's great! I love! Let me start with the title track, "Try Me". This song has a great beat to it with lyrics to match~ "I can tell by the smile you're trapped in, you've been smoking your breakfest again...". Nice... the next song is full of crazy wrongness! "Talk Dirty" is a sort of rap with questionable themes... sometimes I don't even know what's going on! Let's skip down to "Sleeping Man", a song possibly about Pete Townshend- you be the judge. Might I add that there is an eerie connection between how John died and the song "Love Is A Heart Attack"... if you read the lyrics or heard the song, you'd catch my drift right quick. Besides the crazy rock-out tunes, there are also a couple of heart-wrenching songs like "Lovebird" and the title track, "Too Late the Hearo"... John just rips out your heart strings... doesn't play them though. John's vocals are interesting on this album, his voice got very gruffy. No worries though, it adds to the songs! The verdict~ Too Late the Hero is recomended to both new and old John fans! The Creepy Crawly factor adds to~ 5! | ||||||||||||||||
