This nice little album introduces a more morbid front to the picture that is John's solo albums. The songs speak for themselves here and they also introduce a bit of a gritty sound and state of mind. On the track "I Feel Better" John explains in creepy detail on how to feel better after a bitter break up with your significant other. In the song "Window Shopper" John talks his way through an accidental peeping tom incident... however you get inspired is up to you I guess. "Thinkin' It Over" talks of suicide. With John, suicide can be a game! Though most of these songs have a harsh reality (though exicuted in a funny way) there is still room for some real sad notes such as "I Found Out" a song about life's little lies and "Apron Strings" just simply sad. This is a fairly good cd, and I love it. It's no "Smash Your Head", but it's still awesome~! I give it a Creepy Crawly rating of 4 1/2! Nice! | ||||||||||||||||
