Dead Mans Meat Loaf 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 1 egg -- beaten 1 cup bread crumbs 1 tablespoon ketchup 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 cup minced onions 26 ounces spaghetti sauce garnish olives, corn kernels and pimentos Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using clean hands, mix together all ingredients, except for the spaghetti sauce and garnishes, in a large bowl. To form the corpse: In an ungreased baking pan, sculpt the meat mixture into a body. (Generally, bodies have a single head, torso, 2 legs and 2 arms, but yours can have as many or as few as you like.) Using olives for eyes, corn for teeth and pimentos for a tongue, decorate your loaf. Feel free to try other vegetables, too. Pour spaghetti sauce around the corpse and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Right before serving, stick a dagger (butter knife) into the "heart" of the corpse as a garnish. |

Manloaf Review: |
'Manloaf' sprang into the heart of the German punk scene on the Summer of 1985. Being called the 'Hover Boats' they gained recognition as the only band (at that time) to bring a live donkey on stage to prove that you can use the word 'ass' in a song. Not only did they use the word in a few songs, but they lived by this simple creed, 'Without an ass in your face, you're nothing but 2/3rd's of a man's ass'. The 'Hover Boats', being characterized as "tedious" and "unlikely", soon found themselves debating whether to split up or change their names. They chose the latter. 'Manloaf' was born and on their way to new and exciting things. Their new song 'Al Aboard' is filled with rhythmic fog horns and cherry filled dreams that will leave a mildly sweetened taste in your mouth. Yes my dear folks, 'Manloaf' is here to stay. |
