I closed my eyes on bended knee
As I began to pray
I asked God why??
You know
my heart Lord.
How much I needed my
child.
What did I do wrong?
Why Lord did I deserve this?
I asked, "Oh God, what makes a mother?"
Did you think I would not make a good one?
I know I heard him say….
A Mother has a baby, this we know is true
You still are a good mother, Brooklyn
Please don't be so blue.
But God, I asked "Can you be a mother when your baby
is not with you?"
"Yes you can" he replied with confidence in His
voice.
I give many women babies
When they leave, is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime
Others for a day
Some I send
to feel your womb
There's just no need to
stay.
With my tears washing my face
I look up and say
I just
don't understand this God
I want my Brandy
here with me
As He looks down upon me
I see His own tear
As He
says to me
My child I wish I could show
you
What Brandy Lynn is doing
today
If you could see her playing
So happily with all the other children.
If you could hear her voice
This is what she would say…
My mommy loved me so much
I got to come straight here
I feel so lucky to have a mom
Who had so much love for me
I miss my mommy oh so much
But I visit her everyday
When she goes to sleep…
On
her pillow is where I lay
I stroke her
hair
I kiss her cheek
I whisper in her ear
Mommy don't be sad today
I'm
your baby, forever and a day.
A smile begins to form upon my face
As God looks at me and says
So, you see my dear child
Brandy is Ok
She will wait
for you, here with me
Until that day when
you come home.
Greeting you at my pearly
gates
Wearing her sweet smile
Saying "I love you mommy"
So now you see what makes a mother?
It's the feeling you still have in your
heart
The love you had so much
of
Right from the start.
A mother is a mother because of her love
And that, my child lasts for ETERNITY
