Introduction to our persuasive letter format.  Video clips will be shown to get students thinking about their projects.

Together we will brainstorm possible ideas (two heads are better than one).

Tuesday

Paragraph game- students will earn to categorize the various customized parts they want to add to their bus.  The categories will become the topic of the body paragraphs in their letters.

Wednesday

Students will take a virtual field trip and begin using the internet to provide reasons why their buses should be customized.  Students will also learn how to locate an address or contact information for the intended recipient of their letters.  Click here to go on your virtual field trip.

Thursday

Students will write a rough draft of their letters.  We will emphasis writing an engaging intro and limiting each paragraph to one topic.

Friday

Students will revise their writing and use the computer lab to type their letters.  Two copies will be printed (one to mail and one for me to grade).
