The society was founded in 1983, its members have an interest in the history and costume of the Victorian period which is predominantly 1810 to 1910.

The society organizes events which involve such things as Victorian picnics, steam train outings, visits to historical re-enactments, costume parades, lectures and many other things that are of interest to its members.

Meetings are held at Partridge House, 38 Partridge St, Glenelg, S.A. on the 2nd Monday in the month at 8pm.
