I have worked with Java since 1996. I have experience with several database engines (including SQL Server 2000, H2, HSQLDB, Derby) and servers (including Tomcat and JBoss) using JDBC and JDBC-ODBC. I currently have five (5) JDBC/J2EE projects in various stages of development. I also have two mathematical Java games for children completed and distributed. These projects were done at special request of business associates. Upon request, a sample application can be provided via e-mail.
I also have experience with C++, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic for Applications. I can translate between any of these platforms with little difficulty. However, I am not currently certified on any platform, but I am working towards that goal.
I also have the equivalent of an Associates Degree in Accounting. I have done accounting/bookkeeping since 1989. As well as doing the accounting manually, I have experience with various software accounting applications (such as Quickbooks/Quickbooks Pro, MAS90, CYMA, Solomon IV, and Unisys).
I am very proficient with Microsoft Office and WordPerfect Suite. I have experience with Lotus Word Star and Lotus 1-2-3 in Windows and DOS formats.
I am very happily married with two childern.
