| Breef History: Derived from Boeing's famous Model 367-80 prototype, the KC-135 Stratotanker was built in prodigious quantities between 1956 and 1965, 732 of the basic KC-135A tanker version being delivered to Strategic Air Command, with a further 88 transport and special variants making up the grand C-135 total of 820! |
