Ben Sheets struck out 14 batters at The Lost Sea where the Titans club beat
the Center Zero ballclub 2 to 1.
Sheets(1-0) looked very much in control throughout the night. He gave up just
6 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings. Center Zero had a chance to come back in
the 9th but they came up short.
Curt Schilling(0-1) was tagged with the loss. Despite taking the loss, he
whiffed 11 batters in 8 innings. Sheets was humble when questioned about his
performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches tonight. But, I
had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an
extremely well called game!'
