Walk of Death - passing through flesh and saying
"May God do this to me and more if I ever fail to fulfill my part of the covenant and may God subject my family to those curses." Covenant continued for four generations, God did the walk of death for us and Jesus became the slain animal for us.

Traditional Old Testament Jewish practice - Cut wrists and rubbed something in it so it would heal with a mark. When raising hands in prayer the one in covenant was asking God to judge him according to how he had kept the covenant.
Covenant meal - this was not in public.
Blood from the killed animal was put in a cup but the Jews used wine as they were forbidden blood.
Bread was broken and words said "this is my body broken for you. This is my blood"
John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up the last day.
John 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me,and I in him.
It was not because they did not understand what Jesus was saying.
They left because they did understand the cost of covenant.

John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Blessing to those who keep it and the penalty of breaking covenant is discipline and curses Deuteronomy 28,29,30
