PERSONAL
I am Vidura. Harishchandra
& Neetha Vithana are my parents. We live in Veyangoda in Gampaha
District. I have two brothers, Pulathisi & Pubudu.
My father studied
linguistics at Universities of Ceylon
and London
and later joined the education department. He taught Sinhala, Tamil and
English before retiring as a Principal in 1985. My mother is a housewife.
My grand father, Herath Gunasekera inspired my
career as a boy. A self taught scientist, educationist and a farmer, he wrote two books in sinhala
, one on paddy cultivation and
another on mathematics - famously called “Sekara
Ganithaya”.
