PATRICIA KOPACHINSKAJA

Patricia Kopachinskaja, born in 1977 in Kishinev, Moldova, started playing violin at the age of six and gave her first concert at the age of seven. She studied in the Kishinev Conservatory, and since 1990 in the Hochschule fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna where she studied with professor Dora Schwarzberg (1990-1992), professor Michael Frischenschlager and professor Evgenia Tchougaeva (1995-). 1992 -1995 she studied with professor Boris Kuschnir in the Vienna Conservatory. In 1995 Patricia Kopachinskaja graduate as composer the first stage in the Music University in Vienna, studying with professor Ivan Erod (1992-1995) and professor Dieter Kaufmann (since 1995). She had won "Johannes Brahms" Competition '95 and International Summer Academy - Prague-Vienna-Budapest and she participated in various festivals in Vienna, Prague, Moscow, also in the masterclass of Vladimir Spivakov. In April 1995 she made her debut in the Vienna "Konzerthaus" and in August 1997 she participated in "Thracia Summer" Music Festival.
