ROMAN WIAZNIOWSKI

Roman Wiazniowski was born in Warsaw, Poland. At the age of 5 he started taking cello lessons at the Music High-School of Warsaw with his father, professor Wiazniowski, a cellist at the Warsaw Philharmonic. He continued his musical education at the “Frederic Chopin” Music Academy, Warsaw, in professor Wrobel’s class. He graduated with honours from the Vienna Music University in professor Angelica May’s class. Having been awarded a scholarship, he took master-classes in Switzerland and Germany. He has performed as solo-cellist with different piano formations in Poland, Austria, Japan, Spain and others. In 1999 he recorded his first CDs with Plovdiv Philharmonic under the  direction of Nayden Todorov.
