  • Well, that's enough about you. Now let's talk about ME. Here I am sitting in front of my computer in my living room in my house in Dangriga (pop 10,000 odd) in the South of Belize. Where is Belize? Just turn left at Mexico - you can't miss it. From my window I can see the Caribbean Sea. Well I could if the window was open. And if it wasn't dark out. It gets dark around 6 p.m. here all year round, you know. We don't have four seasons, just two: the dusty season and the muddy season.

I like classical music and many other things I will get around to.Also I want to make this a really Belize oriented page so am looking for some more Belize links.Come back in a week or two and see the improvement!

About 5 people a day send me an e-mail saying something like they want to come to Belize and could I please answer these 14 questions. I mentioned this to an American friend who has lived here on and off and he, being something of an author, offered to write an article about what it's like here. The birds sang in the wet trees
And as I listened to them it was a hundred years from now
And I was dead and someone else was listening to them
But I was glad I had recorded for him
    the melancholy.
    Patrick Cavanagh (1904-1967)
(in reply to some enquiring minds, I saw this poem on a tube train in London in 1990)
