Welcome to Austria!!! Willkommen in Oesterreich!!!

This country of 8 million people, has lots to offer travellers and students alike. From the Vienna in the east to Innsbruck in the west, Austria has some of the most beautiful countryside and mountains that Europe has to offer.  I had the fortune of studying in one the World's greatest cities, Vienna.  I spent a semester abroad at the Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien, known in english as the Vienna School of Business and Economics, and had nothing but a blast the whole time.

One of the best things about Austria was the winter weather, which helped out in Innsbruck and Zell am See.  But, I must say, that one of the most beautiful places that I visited during my six month stay in Europe was a tiny village in the Salzburger Mountains called Hallstatt.  But, these three places are not the only exciting Austrian cities that I went to.  I know, I probably sound like a "frickin' tourist brochure," but you know, what can you really say to people about your experiences abroad......

Anyway, one of everyone's favorite places to visit in Europe is Salzburg.  Go figure...There wasn't a movie filmed here or anything, so I have no idea why people go there.  The next city was Austria's second largest city, Graz.  Tucked away in Styria, Graz is surprisingly charming, and you all should check it out.

I hope you enjoy Austria as much as I did.  If you have any comments, please send me an email at: unchockey@hotmail.com.
