Welcome to VIENNA!!! Willkommen in Wien!!!

Vienna has one of the best locations in Europe.  It is close to seven other European countries and has access to both eastern and western Europe.  As for the city itself, it would be hard for most people to find a city that has more to offer.  Aside from the aesthetic beauty of Vienna, this city has culture that other cities could only dream of.

Oh the stories I could tell about what happened to me in Vienna.  It was a wild ride, I can tell you that much.  As much as you all know about me being Jewish and such, I really felt unsafe in promoting my jewishness in Vienna...Go figure!!  Anyway, this part of our tour of my semester really comes down to all of the people that I met.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that bastion of a residence...HAUS ERASMUS!  I really enjoyed living there, in a city with peole from all across the globe.  We did all kinds of stuff together, like going to Innsbruck and going to Durnstein, which is along the Danube River. We also had the opportunity to go dancing at a real Viennese Ball. Boy, was that fun!!!
It all starts the first day I got there in early February, when I met Paul O'Shaughnessy, a fellow UNC student.  We became great friends throughout the five months that we were there, but he wasn't the only only one who made a difference in my time here.

My roommate may have something to do with that. Baptiste Rousseel, the swingin' Frenchman from Paris.  Was he not just the coolest "Daddy-O" there.  I love his clothes and always had fun in Vienna while he was (or when I was) in town.

Enough with the introductions.  Here's a glimpse of what I got to see and do while I was in Vienna and Around.
