Prayer Requests

Updated: March 15, 2007

I'm preparing for research trips to Sankhlaburi this month and to the country to the west in May. I look forward to getting more information about the music to prepare for the next stage in my work helping the radio station to have music that is closer to the heart music of the people.

I continue to help at Santisuk English School. This month I am helping with music in one class and I am a teachers assistant in another class. I am also helping with the short term teachers who are just here for a month. I answer some of their questions about living and getting around in Bangkok and provide a listening ear for them.

I did get the visa in Malaysia! As things look now, my visa situation is not a critical, but it still involves travelling every month or two. Every six months I need to go on a bigger trip like the one to Malaysia. My next bigger trip for the purpose of a visa will be to Singapore in July. I booked the ticket when the airline was having a promotion.

Physically I'm doing fine most of the time. My finger and my knee are both functioning well enough that they don't interefere with daily life, although they aren't at 100%. Pray for complete healing.

At Peace Fellowship Church I'm leading a bible study for Thai believers at cell group once a week. Usually it also includes a few unbelievers. Pray that I will have the best words to say to help them to understand the verses, the good news that they contain, and the impact that can have on their lives.

My praise reports are:

-Temporary visa solution

-New friends

-God's faithfulness, love, and provision

My prayer requests are:

-details of my ethnomusicology internship

-wisdom in how to use my time

-guidance in bible teaching and helping at the english school

-visa

"Who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.

Psalm 103:5-7"

Thank you for your prayers!
