Marching Band Camp 01'

For our first EVER marching camp I think we accomplished a lot! Here are some pics from camp. Soon we will be trying this out on the field!

Durango

This is the Forward March at the end of Durango. All Night Long

This is us on the last day of camp doing backwards marching our concert piece, All Night Long. That's Drum Majorette Melissa Shelton on the ladder. This is the cool Follow The Leader Flank in All Night Long,check out those Hip Switches! Before we marched it we stood and played, A LOT! This is after the shout section in All Night Long. Jill Stienkamp(Bass-Director), Brandy Hinners(trumpet), Hilary Pool(alto sax-SL), Brent(trumpet),Steven Berquist(trombone), Tlyer Freesen(trombone),and Corey Bowman(Tuba-SL). Yes, that's me completely horizontal. Adam Gerecke(mallets) is in the front. Mr. Woods is directing the BIG hits! This is Woods drummin' along with the tape while we march it. Melissa Shelton is on the DM Ladder and Jill Stienkamp is the one in neon green. This is the left side of the band waiting to start up again. Drum Majorette, Kayla Bonjean is in the yellow. The line front to back is Brandy Hinners(trumpet), Brent(trumpet),Steven Berquist(trombone), Tyler Freesen(trombone),and Corey Bowman(Tuba-SL). This is line two during the All Night Long Pinwheel. Front to back we are Kala Freesen(trumpet-SL),Michael Womble(trumpet),Paula Klienschimdt(trumpet), Steven Chute(trumpet),Lindsay Staake(Mellophone),Josh Schmitz(alto sax),Adam Mortimer(alto sax),Amber(flute),Jessika Dorsey(flute),Lindsey VanHyning(flute-SL), and some of the flags. Mandi Womble is DM in front. I miss those guns Mandi! This is the right side of the band in arc during All Night Long. Here we are running through All Night in place in the closing form of Durango. Here we are running through All Night in place.Luckily the trumpets have a rest here so Brandy Hinners(trumpet) and I could make fun of Hilary(alto sax-SL).

Percussion Feature

This is Brandy Hinners(Trumpet) and Mandy Large(Flag Corps) waiting for Woods to remember what he wrote for the pecussion feature. "Make Seven,Up Yours Woods!" Right Brandy? This is Woods and I trying to figure out where my line was supposed to be during the percussion feature.Paula Klienschimdt is behind me. This is the pass-through during the "Meet The Flintstones" Percussion Feature.

Field Shows 01'

This is the second year that the band is on field at the home football games! This year we are bigger because Griggsville-Perry is marching co-op with us. This is our three wonderful Drum Majorettes.From left to right, Mandi Womble, Melissa Shelton,and Kayla Bonjean. Here they are getting ready to lead the band in our first show of the year.

Meredosia-Chambersburg Homecoming 01' Parade

This will be our first Parade of the year and I hope we impress our Hometown! Pics up when we march it!

Illinois College Homecoming 01' Parade

This will be our last parade of the year.Last year we placed fourth and we are hoping to place even higher this year! Pictures will be up when we march it!
