Mahler Society Board member (and widow of co-founder Jack Diether) Doris Diether was recently honored with this year’s Historic Districts Council Lifetime Achievement Award. A Greenwich Village preservation advocate, zoning expert of citywide repute, and a Community Board 2 member since 1964, Doris was cited for her zealous efforts to get appropriate zoning in historic areas.

Congratulations, Doris, from all of us in the Mahler Society!
