For the different file formats, the pdf file is Adobe
Acrobat Portable Document file. The Acrobat reader can be downloaded
free from www.adobe.com/acrobat.
I have included a set of all of the music
files in Noteworthy Composer format. Noteworthy Composer is music
omposition
software. You can download a free evaluation copy from Noteworthy
at :Noteworthy Artware, Inc.. The full version can be
purchased from them for a modest fee. All of the noteworthy files
are included in a separate zipped file: click here.
If you have a sound card, then you probably
already have a midi player.
The lyrics to many of the files, along with some
brief notes showing their relation to other pieces of music (especially
folk
tunes), are included in the "Notes" section.
If you have a multimedia capability, you should
be able to click on the "midi file" link for each song and hear the song.
You
should be able to view the scanned in page by clicking the "jpeg image"
link. If you have Acrobat installed, clicking the "pdf
file" link will bring up an image of the page, in a format suitable
for printing. If you have Noteworthy Clmposer installed, you
should be able to bring up an editable version of the score by clicking
the "NWC File" link. The lyrics, along with some
additional notes, may be found by clicking on "notes".
