Matteo Messori was born in Bologna, Italy. He graduated in Organ and Church music under Umberto Pineschi, with "summa cum laude" at the Conservatory of Bologna.

He took part to interpretation master classes trained by Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Michael Radulescu, Harald Vogel and others.

He has been invited as a guest organist by the
Hunsruecker Musikhof in Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany), summer 1999.

He graduated in Harpsichord under
Sergio Vartolo , with "summa cum laude" at the Conservatory of Venice .

He succeeded in getting the first prize at the First National Competition of harpsichord "G. Gambi" in Pesaro, June 1998.

He won "Campiani" prize as harpsichordist and organist usually given to musicians of particular credit in Mantua musical life, November 1999.

His concert activity as soloist or playing in different chamber ensembles (founder and director of
"Cappella Augustana" , "Cappella musicale di S. Petronio", "Arte-Musica", member and one of the founders of "I Filomusi", etc.) is being carried on in Italy as well as abroad.

He takes part in theater productions and in several recordings.

Besides his musical education, he is on to compleating classical and musicological studies at the University of his hometown.
