ANDREAS WERZ, PIANIST
Andreas Werz has concertized extensively in the United States, Mexico, France, Spain, Asia and Germany where he has also recorded for the the Sudwestfunk radio station.
He completed studies under Tiny Wirtz (Cologne, Germany), James Avery (Freiburg, Germany) and Philip Lorenz (Fresno, USA), a former assistent to Claudio Arrau. In addition, he participated in master classes with Yevgeni Malinin, Bruno Leonardo Gelber and Ivan Moravec.
He received honors at numerous international piano competitions, including the G.B. Viotti in Italy, the Joanna Hodges in California and the Dr. Luis Sigall in Chili.
Andreas Werz is Professor of Piano at California State University, Fresno, and Artistic Director of the internationally renowned recital series "Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert Series".
