Dale is the great grandson of the violin maker David Peacock, Glasgow Scotland 1830-1911. Violin makers and craftsman have been in his family for many generations. His violins are recognized for their excellent craftsmanship and sound quality.
Dale makes violins for professionals, students and violinists who enjoy exceptional tonal quality and bright eaven warm sound throughout all the strings of their instruments.
His instruments are handmade and he uses the patterns of
masters like; Stradivarius, Guarnerius, and his grandfather David Peacock.
The
natural colour of the timbers chosen
for your violin/viola or Cello can be enhanced to take on the character of
old instrument or matched to a personal taste.
Dale uses traditional and Australian timbers to make his instruments, you have a choice of,
Maple from Europe, America, Canada, China (types include flamed and birds
eye texture)
All timbers used are properly seasoned,
moisture content is carefully monitored: Maple 7-8%. Spruce 6-8%) before making.
The Maple is seasoned from 7 - 20 years .The Spruce is seasoned from 7 to
40 years.
The Cello belly Grain width (growth rings) are approximately 25 per inch (1mm apart).Violin/Viola 25-45 per inch.

Dale also makes Electric Fiddles which have a
contemporary shape. All electric fiddles have a built in pizo
pickup and are custom made for the fiddle.
Delivery time for a hand made instrument may vary depending on what instrument you are seeking and how many orders have been placed before yours.
Variation of price is depended upon the inclusion of a case,
quality of materials requested and delivery charges.
