My Tribute to Karyn Parsons!

Karyn Parsons was born on August 9, 1967 and in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Santa Monica, CA. She was the only daughter of her biracial parents (Her father is white and her mother is black). She is best known for her role as the ditzy, self-centered, talk show hostess Hilary Banks on the hit TV sitcom, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". Not only did America fall in love with her, Will himself also found her quite attractive. Rumor has it they had a short fling in 1991.
"He's the greatest guy in the world," she says of Will. "I cried the day our series ended. Will was so much fun. He's like this great big brother!"
"I remember when we did the pilot," she recalls. " I was a nervous wreck as I entered my scene, not breathing, scared to death. I turned to Will and started to say my lines and he mouthed them back as I said them."
"We had so much fun; we would laugh so hard that we would cry. All the time. But all of us were always-always-professional. We always got our job done. We had a successful show and we were laughing the whole way."
Karyn remembers one of the funnier bloopers: "James (Avery) was supposed to look offstage and comment on something that was there. When he went to do it, Will's bare behind was, like, right in front of him! James couldn't hold it together! It was so hilarious. We put it on our blooper reel. It was like, 'Ayyy, there's the biggest hairy butt! Ayyy!'"
She has since been in numerous motion pictures, including Major Payne, possibly her most memorable role in the film industry. Later this year, she plans to start shooting a film alongside Tiffini-Amber Thiessan.
Karyn is single and lives in New York's Greenwich Village.
