Country Shelf

Materials/Tools Needed:

Popsicle sticks – 8 nos.
Clear drying glue
X-acto knife
Green acrylic paint
Yellow acrylic paint
Brown acrylic paint
Rag cloth
Toothpick

Step 1: Cut edge of 5 popsicle sticks to form stakes. Cut one stick length of 8.5cm, 2 more sticks
to the length of 7.5cm and last 2 sticks to length of 7cm. Glue them together to form base.

Step 2: Cut 3 popsicle sticks for shelf about the length of 5cm each. Glue them spacing evenly onto
the base. Let it dry completely before painting.

    Step 3: Basecoat the shelf with yellow acrylic paint and let it dry thoroughly. Then paint it with green
    acrylic paint and wipe paint off with a rag cloth to make it look worn out. Use a toothpick to make
    scratches on the shelf. Finally use very little brown acrylic paint and paint over the shelf for antiquing.
    Wipe off excess paint if necessary. Paint or stamp heart shape motifs if preferred.
